"YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY RUGBY
TO PLAY FOR YOUR COUNTRY…"
When you step up to play your pipes for The Silver Tassie
you'll be wearing two tiny silk ribbons on your lapel:
· One will be green, and one will be gold
· Or, one will be black, and the other will be silver
· Or, one will be sky blue, and the other will be white…
You see, The Silver Tassie is an international solo piping contest.
The winner is acclaimed as the Australasian Young Piper of the Year.
It's age-based, so young pipers compete against their peers –
and everyone plays for their country!
